I have been a trader ( day trader) for about 8 years. I want to transition or change careers into the area of financial planning and/or portfolio management.

I am 35 years old. I have applied to many different jobs and have been getting the "over qualified" or " not enough direct experience" for the job advertised. I am willing to take a pay cut in order to build a new base for a career change.

I am having a difficult time explaining accomplishments well. As a trader my job is purely motivated by daily or monthly profit. Other than generating profit I am not sure what else I accomplished.

I have changed the style of my resume several times and have not found any style to be more responsive than any other. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
